A GOP office in Hillsborough, North Carolina, was firebombed overnight. The flammable substance was housed in a bottle thrown through one of the building’s front windows. “The office itself is a total loss,” Dallas Woodhouse, executive director of the state Republican Party, told to the media.
A swastika and the words “Nazi Republicans get out of town or else” were spray painted on an adjacent building. Authorities are investigating what officials describe as a case of “hate graffiti.” Gov. Pat McCrory Sunday called the weekend firebombing of a North Carolina Republican headquarters “an attack on our democracy.” “Violence has no place in our society – but especially in our elections. … I will use every resource as governor to assist local authorities in this investigation, he added.” Donald Trump don’t hesitated to accuse without any proof: “Animals representing Hillary Clinton and Dems in North Carolina.” In a replica tweet, Clinton’s campaign said: “The attack on the Orange County HQ @NCGOP office is horrific and unacceptable. Very grateful that everyone is safe.” North Carolina Democratic Party Chair Patsy Keever called the bombing “outrageous.”
