Actress and singer Rumer Willis chatted with Digital Journal about her first-ever national concert tour, which will include a show in New York. The Over The Love tour is her first extended musical outing with her band, where she performs a chanteuse-style variety show of timeless standards that range from cabaret and jazz to classic R&B and contemporary pop. The show takes place in an intimate setting, and Willis will take the audience through a set list of personal handpicked songs, as well as a handful of original material that was written and recorded with writer and producer Linda Perry. “The tour has been fantastic. We had our fourth show yesterday, where we performed at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, which was amazing and so inspiring. It’s cool to be able to go to all to these different towns and cities,” she said. When asked how Willis balances it all, she said, “I don’t know. It doesn’t really feel unbalanced. I’m doing what I love to do so it’s really easy to get up every morning and enjoy every day. ” She dubbed her experiences on Dancing with the Stars and Sway as “amazing. ” “That really taught me a lot about tour life and how to survive on a bus,” she said. Regarding her plans for the future, she said, “I hope to continue to do music, and hopefully to find a way to integrate dancing and acting. That would be a dream. ” For her fans, she said, “Thank you for all of the love and support. I am so grateful.
