Cary, N. C. — A Morrisville man was arrested and charged early Tuesday morning for a hit-and-run crash in Cary that sent two bicyclists to the hospital.
Christopher Moore, 33, of Page Street, was charged with two counts of felony hit and run, according to the Town of Cary. Moore was jailed at the Wake County Public Safety Center.
Cary officials responded to the crash on High House Road around 6:45 p.m. Monday. Authorities said four adults cyclists were traveling toward Old Apex Road when a maroon SUV driving in the same direction ran over two of the cyclists.
The victims were identified as Virginia Davis, 55, of Cary, and Laura Cove, 48, of Raleigh. Both were taken to WakeMed with serious injuries.
The two other cyclists were not injured.
