Two models of the Galaxy A5 (2017) have received certification from the Wi-Fi Alliance. The SM-A520F model is a single SIM variant, while the SM-A520F/DS is the dual-SIM one. The listing spotted by SamMobile didn’t reveal many details on the upcoming smartphone, but it does mean that the device could be announced soon.
In addition, it could have a 13MP rear camera and a 3,000mAh removable battery. The smartphone could run Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.
It will surely be an upgrade to its predecessor, the Galaxy A5 (2016), which was announced back in December last year. The previous model had 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, while it ran Snapdragon 615 SoC or Exynos 7580, depending on the region.
It also had a non-removable 2,900mAh battery and a 13MP rear camera with f/1.9 aperture, OIS and LED flash.
It might come with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory, as well as a 16MP rear camera and 16MP sensor in the front.
