While the Cherry Blossom Festival has already begun back in February 10, most of the trees in Japan have yet to actually bloom. All save for 8,000 or so trees in Kawazu, Shizuoka.

While the Cherry Blossom Festival has already begun in February 10, most of the trees in Japan have yet to actually bloom. All save for 8,000 or so trees in Kawazu, Shizuoka.
The town is a three-hour train ride from Tokyo and is home to a special variety of early-blooming cherry blossoms. About 8,000 trees is said to attract around a million visitors to view the cherry blossoms that start blooming in February.
