Details were just emerging Thursday afternoon after a fire erupted at Google’s annual conference for software developers.
MOUNTAIN VIEW — Fire broke out Thursday afternoon in a concession area at Google’s major annual conference for developers, I/O at Shoreline Amphitheatre.
Fire trucks and ambulances responded at around 4 p.m., with initial reports suggesting there may have been an explosion and minor injuries.
The 7,200 tickets for the three-day event sold out in five to 10 minutes, Google said Wednesday
An editor with the magazine Fast Company, attending the conference, tweeted a photo of flames inside a concession outlet.
