343 Industries has confirmed that Halo 6 won’t be shown off at E3 2017. However, the developer has hinted that it’ll have “a little something” packed instead for the biggest gaming event of the year.
The biggest gaming event of the year, E3 2017, is just around the corner. This is the time of the year when companies and game developers from all over the world gather at the Los Angeles Convention Center to unveil their upcoming titles and innovations in hardware. However, one game that most certainly won’t be shown off at the event is Halo 6, as the developer has confirmed.
In a Reddit thread, 343 Industries’ community manager Brian Jarrard had the following to say:
Seeing from the wording of the post, the developer has made it explicitly clear that Halo 6 won’t be the center of attraction during Microsoft’s press briefing at E3 2017.
That said, the reference to “a little something” raises some interesting questions. 343 Industries recently released Halo Wars: Definitive Edition on Xbox One, Windows 10, and surprisingly, Steam as well. Seeing that it is now once again open to making Halo games available on PC, unveiling Halo: The Master Chief Collection on the platform would be a rather interesting move as well. However, it is important to note that the company has hinted at no such plans. Meanwhile, when Halo 6 does eventually launch, it will be placing more emphasis on the character and role of Master Chief, instead of introducing new playable characters.
