The youngest Middleton sibling has picked on-again off-again girlfriend Donna Air as his plus-one for his sister’s wedding today.
Donna, 37, arrived at St. Mark’s Church in Englefield separately from James who is an usher at Pippa Middleton’s nuptials to banker James Matthews.
Stunning in a cream Emilia Wickstead coat dress, the Byker Grove star turned lifestyle guru, who has been dating James since February 2013, beamed and waved at well-wishers as she arrived with a female friend.
James, who owns marshmallow company Boomf as well as a cake making business, overcame dyslexia to do a reading at Kate’s 2011 wedding and is believed to be doing the same for Pippa today.
Donna, who is mother to 13-year-old Freya from her six-year relationship to Damian Aspinall, recently confessed to Country & Town House magazine she was ‘desperate to get away from it all’ after she briefly separated last year from James, and told of being diagnosed with stress at the Viva Mayr clinic in Austria.
However the pair subsequently reunited following their so-called ‘relationship sabbatical’ and, according to insiders, marriage and children could soon be on the cards.
Last year, James told the Mail on Sunday’s YOU magazine: ‘I can’ t say everything that is happening with us. We are thinking about where we are going next.
‘I love Donna very much and Freya is very much part of Donna, and I love them both equally. It’s not “Donna” and “Oh, she has a child”. That’s not how I’ ve ever seen it… Marriage is absolutely not something I’ m scared of [but it] isn’ t necessarily the be all and end all.’
Fashion editor Donna, who has designed a clothing collection for Debenham’s as well as launching her own jewellery and cosmetics lines, are believed to be focusing on her fashion ventures.
A friend told the Mail that Donna is ‘the sort of person who is always concerned about the future and where the next penny is coming from, and for her daughter Freya.’
The 37-year-old also acts as an adviser or consultant to brands including Habitat, with whom she collaborated on an internet campaign, and the clothes designer Karen Millen.
