AMD quietly reveals Ryzen 3 chip details with Ryzen Pro's launch

Unannounced Ryzen 3 CPU details just got announced in AMD’s Ryzen Pro launch.
Today, AMD’s disruptive Ryzen processors stepped out of the mainstream and into the business world with the announcemnt of Ryzen Pro chips loaded with enterprise-friendly features. But the soft launch revealed interesting information for enthusiasts, too: Hard details about AMD’s yet-unreleased Ryzen 3 chips.
The Kaby Lake Core i3 lineup tends to have higher base clock speeds, but Intel’s chips only offer two processor cores augmented by hyperthreading. Here’s an AMD-supplied graph showing how the Ryzen Pro 3 compares against the Intel Core i3-7100. Comparing the higher-end Ryzen 3 chip against Intel’s base-level Core i3 stacks the deck a bit, but it’s still illuminating. Beyond the spec reveal, the fact that AMD even offers professional versions of its entry-level Ryzen 3 chips is noteworthy. Intel doesn’ t extend enterprise features that far down the line. Every Ryzen Pro chip enhances Ryzen’s base features with enhanced security and encryption functions, longer guaranteed availability and image stability, DASH manageability, a 36-month warranty, and more.

Don’ t expect to get Ryzen Pro systems in your hands immediately, despite the announcement. AMD says “The world’s largest suppliers of commercial client desktops are expected to provide Ryzen Pro-based PCs to businesses worldwide in the second half of 2017.”
