The president derides Khan’s “pathetic excuse” to assure Londoners to remain calm following a terror attack.
US President Donald Trump has again lashed out at London Mayor Sadiq Khan over his assurances to Londoners following a terrorist attack.
Mr Khan had said people would see an increased police presence on the streets and should not be alarmed.
But Mr Trump on Sunday accused him of playing down the threat and on Monday said the mayor’s clarification of his comments was a “pathetic excuse”.
Mr Khan, a Muslim mayor, has previously criticised the president’s travel ban.
