Three people were shot early Saturday morning in Uptown, one of Minneapolis’ busiest entertainment districts.
According to a news release from the Minneapolis Police Department, at 2: 23 a.m., officers were called to the 3100 block of Hennepin Avenue South on a report of an individual with a gun. As they were en route, the call was updated to a shooting.
When the officers arrived on scene, they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. One had been shot multiple times in the leg and the other had been shot in his foot and armpit. Both men were taken to Hennepin County Medical Center to be treated for non life-threatening injuries.
About five minutes later, officers in the area heard gunshots and saw people running. Around the intersection of Humboldt Avenue South and Lagoon Avenue, they found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck. She was taken to HCMC, where she is believed to be in critical condition.
Minneapolis Police Sgt. Catherine Michal said it isn’ t known yet what led to the shootings, or if they were related.

One person was shot and was treated for non life-threatening injuries. Michal said a suspect was arrested in connection with the incident and a gun was recovered at the scene.
