Marisa Tomei, who plays Aunt May in Spider-Man: Homecoming, is not married and is not publicly dating anyone. The 52-year-old Oscar-winner has famously never married and doesn’ t have any children, although there have been rumors about her dating life.
For several years, Tomei was in an on-again, off-again relationship with 40-year-old Logan Marshall-Green, who starred in Ridley Scott’s Prometheus, 24 and The O. C.. He also happens to play Jackson “Montana” Brice in Homecoming. They started dating in 2008.
In 2013, InTouch Weekly reported that the two were engaged. However, Tomei’s representative told E! News that there was “no truth to the rumor.”
Marshall-Green and Tomei’s relationship is now forever “off, ” since he’s happily married to actress Diane Marshall-Green. The couple have two children, daughter Culla Mar and son Tennessee Logan.
In 2014, there were rumors that Tomei was dating Josh Radnor, who played Ted on How I Met Your Mother. That relationship didn’ t last long. Most recently, Radnor dated Minka Kelly. In March 2017, Us Weekly reported that the Kelly-Radnor relationship ended after six months of dating.
Tomei and Homecoming co-star Robert Downey Jr. were rumored to be a couple in 1994, after they starred in Norman Jewison’s Only You together. The two also appeared in 1992’s Chaplin and, of course, last year’s Captain America: Civil War.
In the past, the MY Cousin Vinny actress has made it clear that she has no intention of marrying. “I’ m not that big a fan of marriage as an institution and I don’ t know why women need to have children to be seen as complete human beings, ” she told the Telegraph in 2009 .
Coincidentally, Tomei recently played a married woman on the stage. She starred in Sarah Ruhl’s How to Transcend a Happy Marriage at the Lincoln Center theater in New York in February through May. When Vogue asked Tomei if she thought it was possibly to have a happy marriage, she said she wasn’ t qualified to answer.
“Well, I’ m not married, so I’ m not qualified to speak to that, ” she told Vogue.
