This could be ZTE's most ostentatious Android handset yet

While ZTE is known more for its mid-range handsets, it does manage to produce a few exceptions, like the $6,000 88 Tauri. Now a successor to that handset could be in the works and could arrive soon.
A new ZTE handset has rolled through TENNA, China’s equivalent of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the United States, and to put it mildly, it looks ostentatious. The ZTE TL99 looks to be a luxury smartphone and could be called the TL99 Lamborghini Tauri Edition when it arrives to the market. While unknown at this point, it could end up being the successor to the $6,000 88 Tauri from a few years back.
The source states that the phone has three capacitive buttons on the front, along with a leather wrapped rear, where the fingerprint reader, camera and flash reside. While there isn’t detail about the other materials used to construct this handset, there is speculation that the frame is gold plated steel.
If you have a closer look towards the bottom rear of the handset, you’ll notice the famous bull logo that can be found on Lamborghini’s many vehicles and is a symbol that was chosen by the car manufacturer’s founder, Ferruccio Lamborghini. Below the iconic logo, there is an inscription that reads “Tonino Lamborghini”, who is the son of Lamborghini.
