No. 6 West Mecklenburg (4-1,0-0 Southern Meck 4A) at No. 12 Harding (4-1,0-0), 7 p.m.: The potential conference title game, pitting teams coming off their only losses. It’s a test of West Meck’s explosive offense against Harding’s rugged defense.

Sun Valley (4-0,0-0 Southern Carolina 3A) at Weddington (3-1,0-0), 7:30 p.m.: Look for plenty of points here. Quarterback Sam Howell leads the explosive Sun Valley passing attack, but Weddington also has scored points in bunches this season.
Mountain Island Charter (3-1,0-0 Southern Piedmont 1A) at Bessemer City (4-0,0-0), 7:30 p.m.: The visiting Raptors are averaging 47 points a game. Bessemer City is allowing fewer than eight points a contest.
No. 9 Shelby (5-0) at No. 1 South Pointe (4-0), 7:30 p.m.: A great interstate clash, featuring two reigning state champions and their stellar quarterbacks – Malik Sarratt of Shelby and Derion Kendrick of South Pointe.
