Cardi B is making money moves all the way to the top of the charts.
The Bronx-born rapper has scored her first Billboard No. 1 with debut single “Bodak Yellow,” making her the first female rapper in nearly 20 years to hit the top with a solo billing.
Cardi — whose real name is Belcalis Almanzar — also managed another impressive feat: dethroning pop’s reigning queen Taylor Swift.
Swift, whose massive hit single “Look What You Made Me Do” previously spent three weeks at No. 1, dipped down this week to No. 3.

Despite the professional rivalry brewing, Cardi revealed she was a fan of Swift in a recently surfaced Twitter video, where she can be seen singing “Look What You Made Me Do” in the back seat of a car.
The 24-year-old is just the second female rapper in history to have a No. 1 song without any other artists featured on the track.
The last rapper to do so was Lauryn Hill in 1998, when “Doo Wop (That Thing)” ruled the charts for two weeks.
Since then, just three other female rappers have managed to score a Billboard No. 1, and not without some help: Lil’ Kim’s 2001 hit “Lady Marmalade” featured P!nk, Christina Aguilera and Mya, Shawnna was featured on “Stand Up” by Ludacris in 2003, and most recently, Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy” in 2014 got an assist from Charli XCX.
Taylor Swift’s ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ is shattering records
Cardi B initially released the song in June, and she’s performed it live multiple times, including at the Video Music Awards pre-show last month.
While on stage, she gave a shout out to Colin Kaepernick for his peaceful protests.
“Colin Kaepernick, as long as you kneel with us, we’re going to be standing for you, baby,” she said.
