Google acknowledges gesture and typing issues with Gboard app on iOS

Although no update is available yet, Google offers three workarounds for Gboard on iOS which may solve gesture typing and typing corrections. Users are advised to follow the thread for updates.
Google has acknowledged a couple of major issues with Gboard on iOS devices relating to gesture typing and typing correction (where you can select a correct spelling of a word, not to be confused with auto-correct) and offered some workarounds on its support pages pending an update to the app. A Google employee, going by the name ‘Andy B’ said on the company’s official help forum:

As can be seen with the above link to Apple, gesture and typing correction appears to only affect iOS devices and not Android. It was not disclosed which iOS versions might be affected or if and when an updated Gboard app will become available, with the Google employee suggesting users follow the support thread, for updates.
For now, those affected can try the above workarounds, or use a different keyboard.
