A luxury car dealership in Tallahassee, Florida decided it would be a good idea to park its entire inventory in garages owned by Florida State University during Hurricane Irma after school officials offered up available spaces to all students and the general public for the duration of the storm.
The fracas began on Friday when the management at Napleton Infiniti drove all their cars to the safe and dry environs of Florida State’s taxpayer-funded parking garages, reports Florida State University News .
Florida State students and Tallahassee residents did not take kindly to the dealership’s decision.
Many people expressed their outrage by leaving negative reviews on websites like Yelp and on Napleton Infiniti’s various social media accounts.
The critical reviews became so numerous that the dealership was forced to take down some ratings features.
Florida State University officials eventually contacted Napleton Infiniti and arranged for the removal of the dealership’s armada of fancy vehicles.
Napleton Infiniti managers have insisted that they had received permission to park all the cars inside the Florida State garages.
Hurricane Irma left 4 million Florida residents without power as it made landfall and moved across the state.
