Video clip of the attack went viral on Facebook on Sunday
A man who was seen in a viral video clip throwing and kicking a dog in a Tuen Mun supermarket was condemned for his actions online on Sunday.
The five-second clip, posted on Facebook, showed the man hurling the dog to the floor and kicking it.
The man himself lost his balance and fell down after the kick, and the dog appeared to be scared and ran off.
The clip was posted on Facebook with a message that said the location was a ParknShop store in Po Tin Shopping Centre. The dog had strayed into the mall and ran into the supermarket, and staff were trying to stop the animal.
“But the crazy man (who just finished buying something there) was shouting loudly to the staff: ‘How could you allow a dog here? Throw it out,’”the post said.
The staff told him all they could do was to stop it from running further inside and wait for its owner to come.
