Sept. 2 (UPI) — Welsh singer Tom Jones is postponing his planned U. S. concert tour due to health issues.
The 77-year-old superstar said via Twitter Friday he is “following medical advice” in changing his schedule, but he did not specify what is ailing him.
He had been slated to kick off the concert series in Bethlehem, Pa., next Wednesday, but will now perform the shows in May and June 2018 instead.
“All tickets will remain valid for the new dates, details of which will follow as soon as possible, ” a statement on his official Twitter account said. “Tom sends his sincere apologies to his fans and looks forward to seeing them all again in 2018.”
