We had another great weekend of college football, and there are lots of takeaways from the games.
We had another great weekend of college football, and there are lots of takeaways from the games.
Here are my four biggest observations from Saturday.
1) The SEC is absolute garbage.
It’s embarrassing how far the conference has fallen off outside of Alabama. It’s a complete joke. LSU got beat by Troy last night in embarrassing fashion. How does LSU, who we’re told is an elite program, lose to a team of Troy’s stature?
Ole Miss looked like a middle school team against Alabama. Ten years ago the SEC was stacked. Now it’s just a weekly practice schedule for the Crimson Tide. These teams should be afraid to show their faces in public.
2) Clemson might be underrated.
The Tigers of Clemson aren’t getting much attention because Alabama is overshadowing them at the top of the polls. However, the defending national champions are putting together an incredible season so far. They rolled through Louisville and Virginia Tech. Without a doubt they have an impressive resume so far.
3) The Big Ten continues to look outstanding.
Wisconsin, Penn State and Ohio State all had great weekends. The Buckeyes beat up Rutgers, Penn State had no problems with Indiana, and Wisconsin was eventually able to put away Northwestern. The conference is rolling.
4) USC got exposed.
USC went up to Washington State and got exposed. Sam Darnold might be the best NFL prospect in the country, but the Trojans are nowhere near where they need to be if they want to win a national title.
