GameStop’s Black Friday 2017 ad leaks online, revealing deep discounts for brand new video game releases as well as big console deals and some unique promotions.
With less than a week to go until Black Friday 2017, many retailers have unveiled their ads for the annual holiday shopping craze. Video game retail giant GameStop has yet to throw its hat in the ring in an official capacity, but its Black Friday ad has leaked online, revealing deep discounts on some brand new game releases.
New games like Destiny 2 and Madden NFL 18 are selling for $27 apiece, and each come with extra goodies to sweeten the pot. Anyone that picks up Destiny 2 at GameStop on Black Friday will get their hands on a Cayde-6 figurine, and those that buy Madden NFL 18 will get a free Madden Ultimate Team starter pack with their purchase. Other $27 dollar games include recent sports hits like NBA 2K18 and FIFA 18.
Some other 2017 releases will also be available for a deeply discounted price at GameStop on Black Friday. Fans can pick up the likes of The Evil Within 2, Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus, and Middle-earth: Shadow of War for $25 apiece. Injustice 2, the DC superhero fighting game that released earlier this year to rave reviews, will be available for a mere $14. In addition to these discounts on new games, all used games will be Buy 2, Get 1 Free.
Besides game discounts, GameStop’s Black Friday ad also reveals some of the best console deals this holiday season. Gamers that buy a standard 1TB PS4 from GameStop this Black Friday will receive a $50 gift card, and the company is slashing the price of all Xbox One S bundles by $50. GameStop is also giving away pre-owned Xbox 360 consoles through a mail-in rebate that will refund consumers the initial $60 asking price.
In addition to these video game deals, GameStop is offering some discounts for other items in its stores as well. One interesting promotion it’s running has Black Friday customers get 25% off all the toys, drinkware, statues, and apparel they can fit into a GameStop bag (that they also have to purchase). This promotion only applies to the first 25 customers in the store, however.
GameStop’s Black Friday 2017 ad also makes brief mention of the company’s innovative new PowerPass program, which essentially lets players rent unlimited games from the store for $60 over the course of a six month period. However, with the recent delay of PowerPass, it’s possible that mention of it will be removed from GameStop’s Black Friday ad this year, which could actually explain why it still has yet to join other retailers in officially releasing its ad.
GameStop‘s Black Friday deals will kick off on Thursday, November 23rd and many are valid until Sunday, November 26th.
