A man is in custody after seven people were gunned down in a nightclub shooting in Indiana early Sunday, authorities said.
Four men and three women were found with gunshot wounds, and an eighth victim was injured while trying to get to safety at Dirtty’s Jazz and Blues Club, in Gary, police said.
A DJ at the club said he heard an altercation before gunfire erupted, according to WLS-TV .
Gary police are seeking another man in addition to the one in custody. Cops described the shooting as isolated.
Most of the victims were in stable condition Sunday, detective Sgt. William Fazekas told the Associated Press.
Neither the victims nor suspects’ identities were released. A motive for the shooting was unknown. Gary is about 20 miles away from Chicago, Ill.
