The victim was crossing East Beltline Avenue SE when he was struck.
KENTWOOD, MI – Police identified Jesse Valdes, 32, of Hesperia, as the pedestrian who was struck by a car and killed while crossing East Beltline Avenue SE.
He died at the scene.
The crash happened around 12:10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 27, in the 2600 block of East Beltline.
A witness told police that the victim appeared to be walking east across the road when he was struck by a southbound vehicle.

Police said there is no cross walk where he was hit.
