A few weeks ago Microsoft released their Edge browser for iOS and Android. The 3rd party browser uses the native iOS rendering engine but brings along some of the user interface elements of Edge for Windows 10 and also some features such as the Reading List.
It, however, lacked the most important reason to use the same browser on your phone as your PC – password sync.
Today with a new update to version 41.3 (41.3.0) Microsoft has finally rectified the issue.
The changelog reads:
This update contains a lot of fixes for issues that many of you helped identify:
Sign in– You should be able to sign in now and with the added layer of security using two- factor authentication, you will be able to sync your passwords.
The browser features:
Microsoft Edge for iOS will be initially available only in US-English language alone. Microsoft will expand to other languages in the future. To access the app users need to sign-up for the beta program here.
