A massive power outage struck the Disneyland Resort in California on Wednesday.
Some attractions in the Anaheim theme park’s Toontown and Fantasyland sections had lost power, a Disneyland spokesman told KABC-TV.
A transformer issue caused the power outage, the spokesman said, adding that people were being escorted off the affected rides.
Geoff Feinberg told CNN he and his family were halfway through the “It’s a Small World” ride when the power shut down.
“We sat there for about 25 minutes in the dark,” he said. “Everyone was calm. No danger. You’re just sort of sitting in a boat. No commotion or anything. It was all very calm.”
Social media users began posting about the outage at around 11 a.m., and photos showed people waiting in long lines at the park.
“All of Toontown and parts of Fantasyland are affected by the outage,” Twitter user Sarah Mansoor wrote.
“Our team is currently assessing and working to restore power,” a park statement said.
Park officials didn’t say when the power would be restored.
