Japanese multinational Panasonic has recently added a budget offering to their Eluga lineup with the Panasonic Eluga I9.
Japanese smartphone maker Panasonic has added a new budget device to their Eluga lineup with the Panasonic Eluga I9. The phone comes with a 5-inch display and a fingerprint sensor at an affordable price tag.
The device comes with a metal build and a 2.5D curved glass which are good offerings at this price point. The Panasonic Eluga i9 will go on sale as a Flipkart exclusive starting December 15. It is priced at Rs. 7,499 and comes with a quad-core MediaTek processor.
Starting with the display, the Panasonic Eluga I9 comes with a 5-inch LCD panel with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution. It comes a 2.5D curved glass display and the company has not provided any information about display protection.
In terms of cameras, the device sports a 13MP primary camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash. There is also a 5MP front-facing camera with f/2.4 aperture. The device comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, which has been placed below the primary camera.
Coming to hardware, the device is powered by a MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor. This processor is coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB onboard storage. There is also a microSD card slot that lets you expand memory up to 128GB.
Talking about software, the Panasonic Eluga I9 runs Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. There is no word about Oreo update. The device runs on a skinned Android with Panasonic’s optimized UI.
The phone is powered by a 2,500mAh battery and it is a dual SIM 4G VoLTE device. The Panasonic Eluga I9 comes with WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, Micro USB port and a 3.5mm earphone jack as standard connectivity options.
The Panasonic Eluga I9 is priced at Rs. 7,499 and will be available in Space grey, Champagne Gold, and Blue colors. The phone will be sold as a Flipkart Exclusive starting December 15.
