Today, Samsung announced that it will be unveiling a new wall-mountable lifestyle soundbar at CES 2018, which takes place in a few weeks. The NW700 takes the place of the MS650 in the lineup.
Samsung announced today that it will be unveiling a new lifestyle wall-mountable soundbar at CES 2018, the NW700 Soundbar Sound+. The device will be announced among the company’s range of home entertainment products that gets refreshed every year.
The new model replaces the MS650 Sound+ in the lineup, and it includes distortion-canceling, wide-range tweeters and multi-speaker control. Samsung says that it’s 41% narrower than the previous model, coming in at just 53.5mm thin. This is meant to match up with the firm’s slim smart TVs.
“Samsung continues to invest in product development that fuses lifestyle and technology in a seamless, innovative manner,” said Jurack Chae, Senior Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “With our NW700 Soundbar Sound+, we are not only committed to superior product design, but also to delivering unmatched sound quality to our consumers.”
The NW700 Sound+ includes three modes: Standard, Surround, and Smart. Surround Mode helps to expand surround sound, and with multi-speaker support, you can place separate speakers in different parts of the room to enhance this effect. Smart Mode automatically adjusts volume and surround sound effects.
Samsung will announce more details at CES, which kicks off on January 9.
