Ann Coulter calls Trump’s immigration meeting 'the lowest day' in his presidency

Conservative commentator Ann Coulter was highly critical of President Trump’s televised meeting with lawmakers to discuss a path forward for those protected under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and immigration policies at large, notes Mediaite.
In a Tuesday night appearance on Fox Business, she told Lou Dobbs, “This is a disaster. It was the lowest day of his presidency.”
“[Trump] was clearly trying to overcome the bad press of this Michael Wolff book by showing he’s in command, but in fact what he did was fulfill every description of him in the Michael Wolff book,” Coulter further commented. “He doesn’t listen. He has no command of the facts. He agrees with the last person who speaks with him.”
Earlier that day, she tweeted that the gathering was a “DACA Lovefest.”
During the meeting, Trump did appear to support Senator Dianne Feinstein’s recommendation to start tackling the immigration matter by passing a “clean” DACA bill.
Doing so would be contrary to the president’s campaign promises of tougher immigration laws and a U. S.-Mexico border wall.
The New York Times notes that Trump’s now-apparent “desire to preside over a more far-reaching solution to the status of the 11 million undocumented immigrants already living and working in the United States,” could potentially “alienate the hardline immigration activists who powered his political rise and helped him win the presidency.”
After a somewhat confusing message out of Tuesday’s meeting with lawmakers, Trump took to Twitter in an attempt to clarify his position.
“As I made very clear today, our country needs the security of the Wall on the Southern Border, which must be part of any DACA approval,” Trump tweeted .
