A man died after he was struck by a train on the Lower East Side Friday, authorities said.
The victim was struck by an F train at the Delancey St./Essex St. station about 12:50 p.m.
The straphanger died at the scene. His name was not immediately released.
Cops were investigating how he came to be struck.
F trains were re-routed along the A line between the W. 4th St. and Jay St./MetroTech stations after the incident.
