“I didn’t have the blue dress.”
Michael Wolff’s book, “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House,” made a slew of claims, many of which came under their own “fire and fury” for being false.
However, possibly the most shocking is one the author made himself. During an interview on HBO’s “Real Time with Bill Maher,” host Bill Maher asked Wolff if there was something that readers haven’t noticed in the book.
“There is, but I can’t tell you what it is,” he said. “There is something in the book that I was absolutely sure of, but it was so incendiary that I just didn’t have the ultimate proof.”
Maher asked, “Is it a woman thing?” and Wolff retorted, “I didn’t have the blue dress,” which was a clear nod to former President Bill Clinton’s affair with Monica Lewinsky.
After another push by Maher, he unequivocally declared “it is” about someone whom the president is “f**king now,” and he gave readers a hint as to where the claim is in the book.
“It’s toward the end of the book,” Wolff explained. “Now that I’ve told you, when you hit that paragraph, you’re going to say, ‘Bingo.’”
The author added that if he is able to get into the White House, “porn stars can get into the White House,” and said there are “back doors” at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
