Priced at $249, Google Clips seems to be a bit more expensive than it should have been. Google says it can ship the camera starting early March…
Remember the interesting Clips camera that Google announced in October, at the same time with its Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphones? Well, the device is now finally available to order in the US.
Priced at $249, Google Clips can be shipped for free within the US, although not before March 2. Even if you choose expedited delivery at check out (for an extra $17.99), it looks like Google can’t ship the camera before February 28.
While it has a button that lets you take photos manually, the strength of Google Clips lies in the fact that, thanks to built-in artificial intelligence, it can shoot photos and clips automatically – by detecting faces, smiles, or simply well framed scenes. The camera doesn’t necessarily need an Internet connection to record images. It has 16 GB of internal memory, and you can transfer content to your phone both via cable, and wirelessly.
