Chi, meet Chi.
The city of Chicago is honored to share its name with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s newborn daughter, Chicago West.
“We congratulate Kim and Kanye on the wonderful addition to their family,” David Whitaker, president and CEO of Choose Chicago tourism, told Page Six on Friday. “We realize this is a special time for them and we’re thrilled that they’ve chosen a name that represents a city we’re so proud to call home. And we look forward to welcoming Chicago for her first visit!”
Kardashian, 37, announced the baby girl’s name on Twitter on Friday in a post that aptly read, “Chicago West.”
Chicago is 40-year-old Kanye’s hometown.
The infant goes by the nickname “Chi,” pronounced “shy,” similar to the refrain in Kanye’s hit song, “Homecoming.”
She was born via surrogate on Monday and joins big sister North, 4, and Saint, 2, in the ultra-famous family.
