A Johnston man now faces murder charges in a bar assault that left another man with serious injuries that he later died from.
A Johnston man now faces murder charges in a bar assault that left another man with serious injuries that he later died from.
According to police, on Wednesday at 11:47 p.m. Urbandale Police Officers and Urbandale Fire Department responded to Escape Lounge, located at 8843 Northpark Drive, in response to an assault.
Advertisement Officers and medics located a male victim inside the location suffering from severe injuries from a physical assault.
Police said the victim died later at a local hospital. He was identified Friday as Joshua Sadlon, of Oshkosh, WI.
Urbandale Detectives located the suspect a short time later at his residence. The suspect in this case has been identified as Rodney Hendricksen, 48, of Johnston, Iowa.
Hendricksen was arrested originally charged with attempted murder and transported to the Polk County Jail for processing. His charges have since been updated to first-degree murder.
Urbandale Police Detectives continue to investigate this incident.
