The woman lived alone in her Lake County home.
LAKE COUNTY, MI – State police say the victim of a fire this week has been identified as Evelyn Louise Ware, 79.
An autopsy confirmed her identity after fire destroyed her house on Lakola Road, in Lake County’s Ellsworth Township, on Wednesday, Jan. 10, state police said Saturday, Jan. 13.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, police said.
The fire had engulfed the home when Luther firefighters got to the scene. Once the fire was out, firefighters found the victim’s remains. She lived alone.
