Epic Games has revealed all the details about Fortnite’s upcoming season three Battle Pass.
Fortnite’s Battle Passes function in a similar way to Dota 2’s, in that they offer a large chunk of cosmetic items that players can earn only during the season.
Battle Passes typically offer several tears, which you can accelerate the progression of by outright buying them. The Season 3 Battle Pass is no different in this regard, but it does come with more content than season two did.
First, players who buy the Season 3 Battle Pass will instantly receive several rewards, including the Mission Specialist Outfit. The Season 3 Battle Pass includes 100 tiers, 30 more than season two’s.
Though it’s expanded greatly, Epic noted that the Season 3 Battle Pass will take the same amount of time as season two to fully rank up. That it is to say it’ll take you around 75-150 hours to get everything without paying. You can buy tiers like we mentioned, and each costs 150 V-Bucks.
Epic also offers the Battle Bundle, which in this case comes with the Battle Pass as well as 25 tiers already unlocked.
One way to accelerate tier unlocks is through weekly challenges. Seven of these get refreshed every week, replacing Fortnite’s daily challenges.
Weekly challenges will remain active for the entire season, however, so latecomers will still be able to get everything. You only need to unlock four out of seven challenges every week to unlock the weekly rewards.
