A fatal shooting is under investigation in Lowell on Thursday.
The Middlesex District Attorney’s Office and Lowell police said the shooting happened in the area of the Lowell train station.
Investigators said after the man was shot, he got into his vehicle and traveled a short distance before crashing in the area of the YMCA near Thorndike Street.
The man was taken to Lowell General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
No other information was immediately available.
