OTTAWA COUNTY, MI — Ottawa County leaders have joined authorities in Ionia and Newaygo counties in declaring a local “state of emergency” due to river flooding.
The Ottawa County Board of Commissioners chair signed the declaration Friday, Feb. 23.
The declaration is a required step if county leaders choose to seek state or federal funding to help pay for repairing flood damage.
