Photo reveals Trump's notes at gun violence listening session

A photo taken during Tuesday’s White House listening session on gun violence shows some of President Trump ‘s notes for the event.
Trump met with several survivors of last week’s shooting at a Florida high school, along with the family members of shooting victims.
“What would you most want me to know about your experience?” was the top handwritten line on the card, as seen in a photo taken by The Associated Press.
The last visible line on the card was, “I hear you.” Other lines are obscured by Trump’s hands.
Trump during the event pledged that his administration would be “very strong on background checks,” amid calls by parents at the session for tighter restrictions on access to firearms.
Students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla. have become public advocates for new gun controls after a 19-year-old former student went on a rampage through their school with a legally obtained semiautomatic assault rifle.
Thousands of students held a protest outside the U. S. Capitol on Wednesday, calling on lawmakers to enact gun control legislation.
Trump is reportedly considering a new age restriction for buying the type of weapon used in the shooting, an idea that was discussed at the event. He has also called for federal regulators to ban bump stocks, a device used during last year’s massacre in Las Vegas.
