“Black Panther” is not only breaking records at the box office, but also online, with the Michael B. Jordan flick becoming the most tweeted movie ever
Move over, Kylo Ren.
“Black Panther” isn’t just breaking box office records, it’s now reaching uncharted heights on social media, passing “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” as the most tweeted movie of all time, a spokesperson for Twitter told TheWrap Tuesday.
So far, the Marvel hit has pulled in a whopping 35 million tweets. And with a 97 percent “fresh” rating on Rotten Tomatoes, you could probably guess the most popular emoji sent with “Black Panther” tweets was the “flame.” As in, this movie is “fire.”
#BlackPanther has been the top hashtag, which isn’t much of a surprise, followed by #WakandaForever. Ryan Coogler’s movie has been the biggest hit with users in the U. S., but tweeters in the U. K. and Thailand have also been praising the movie, according to Twitter.

It’s easy to see why “Black Panther” has become the most tweeted movie in barely a month since its opening: the Chadwick Boseman-Michael B. Jordan flick just blitzed past $600 million at the domestic box office, holding the top spot for the fifth consecutive week.
Interestingly, though, the most retweeted “Black Panther” tweet isn’t even directly about the movie. Instead, Kendrick Lamar’s tease for the soundtrack took the top spot, grabbing 240,000 shares.
