Daniels, an adult film actress, opened up about an alleged affair with President Trump during the interview.
Sunday’s installment of “60 Minutes” — which featured Stormy Daniels detailing her alleged tryst with President Trump — was the most-watched episode of the CBS newsmagazine series in nearly a decade.
The episode drew more than 22 million viewers, according to Nielsen, giving the series its best performance since a November 2008 episode featuring an interview with Barack and Michelle Obama shortly after the presidential election, which registered over 25 million viewers.
Sunday’s episode was headlined by the interview with Daniels, an adult film actress who sat down with Anderson Cooper and said she had sex with Trump once in 2006.
In the segment, Daniels, 39, said she was threatened years after the alleged affair while she was on the way to the gym with her daughter.

“A guy walked up on me and said to me, ‘Leave Trump alone. Forget the story,'” Daniels told Cooper. “And then he leaned around and looked at my daughter and said, ‘That’s a beautiful little girl. It’d be a shame if something happened to her mom.'”
She also said she had signed a $130,000 nondisclosure agreement shortly before the presidential election in 2016 to stay quiet about her alleged affair with Trump.
Daniels’ attorney, Michael Avenatti, took a jab at Trump, who has often boasted about the ratings he draws, after this week’s “60 Minutes” numbers were released.
“Since this is what really matters (LOL), the ratings for my client’s @stormydaniels appearance on @60minutes last night CRUSHED (BY MILLIONS) any Apprentice show in the last ten years as well as Mr. Trump’s Nov 2016 appearance,” Avenatti tweeted .

Trump, meanwhile, tweeted about the prevalence of “Fake News” on Monday morning, without specifically referencing the Daniels interview.
“So much Fake News. Never been more voluminous or more inaccurate,” Trump wrote. “But through it all, our country is doing great!”
In addition to the Daniels interview, Sunday’s episode of “60 Minutes” closed with a profile on Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo.
