A 39-year-old man is in custody after allegedly shooting a man to death in front of his children.
Police said that Charvez Ryals of Lithonia, Georgia surrendered to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office without incident. He faces one count of felony murder and three of aggravated assault after police said he shot 31-year-old Daniel Wise on March 10 during a custody exchange between Wise and Ryals’ girlfriend.
Two of Wise’s children were present when he was shot to death. The children, however, were not injured. Another person present at the scene also sustained injuries though details released by the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office do not specify what kind.
Ryals was booked into the DeKalb County Jail.
