Trump originally said that Baldwin’s career was “dieing.”
The President took time out of his schedule early Friday morning to blast Alec Baldwin’s portrayal of him on Saturday Night Live, and suggested that the previous version was better.
“Alex Baldwin, whose dieing mediocre career was saved by his impersonation of me on SNL, now says playing DJT was agony for him. Alex, it was also agony for those who were forced to watch,” Trump posted on Twitter at 5:45 a.m. on the East Coast.

Trump’s Twitter outburst was not the first time he has attacked Baldwin on social media, with previous takes on the riff including saying that the actor’s portrayal “stinks” and “just can’t get any worse.”
Baldwin responded to Friday’s jab later by posting “Agony though it may be, I’d like to hang in there for the impeachment hearings, the resignation speech, the farewell helicopter ride to Mara-A-Lago. You know. The Good Stuff. That we’ve all been waiting for.”
