Soon after launching the 55-inch Mi TV 4 in India, Xiaomi is gearing to launch the 43-inch Mi TV 4C in the country in the days to come. More precisely, Xiaomi will launch the 43-inch Mi TV 4C in India, on March 7. The company has been on a teaser spree on social media lately, hinting that it will launch a new TV series in India, that will apparently allow users to switch to smart. Ahead of launch, a listing on the Mi.com/in website, gives away what’s in store for D-day. The listing clearly mentions the 43-inch Mi TV 4C along side what appears to be a place-holder price of Rs 27,999. While it’s not clear whether or not this would be the final pricing, at least, we now know what Xiaomi will be launching on March 7.
Also, it appears that the listing, has been made for experimental purposes ahead of launch and chances are Xiaomi may bring it down soon enough. The listing for one does not indicate final specifications, and also it states that the 43-inch Mi TV 4C would come with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage when actually, the 43-inch Mi TV 4C — that’s available in China — comes with 1GB RAM and 8GB flash storage. This is also why we expect that the Rs 27,999 price tag quoted may not be the actual price of the TV when it arrives in India. The 43-inch Mi TV 4C costs CNY 1799 in China, for your reference, which roughly translates to Rs 18,475.
Since Xiaomi is teasing a series to be launched in India, it’s likely, that the company may bring more versions of its affordable TV line-up but whatever be the case, the 43-inch Mi TV 4C, will be at least one of them making the cut.
The 43-inch Mi TV 4C comes with a full-HD display panel with a 1920×1080 pixel resolution and a contrast ratio of 4000:1. It boasts of a latency of 6.5 ms and a refresh rate of 60Hz, and 178 degree viewing angles. Under the hood, Xiaomi’s Mi TV 4C comes with a 1.5GHz quad-core Amlogic T962 Cortex-A53 processor coupled with Mali-T450 GPU. It comes with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of flash storage. It comes with Wi-Fi (802.11ac) and Bluetooth 4.0, along with two 8W speakers with support for Dolby audio and DTS.
The 43-inch Mi TV 4C is based on Android and runs Xiaomi’s custom ROM called PatchWall. PatchWall is based on “deep learning AI that references metadata to make intelligent content recommendations tailored to you,” according to Xiaomi which means it’s always learning and evolving. PatchWall, because it is AI-driven, comes with the ability to learn a user’s viewing habits and then accordingly it suggests content based on their preferences. The emphasis lies on showing more content on one screen as quickly as possible, or through the shortest possible path.
