Songwriter Felice Bryant died on April 22,2003. She wrote a bunch of hits for the Everly Brothers, including “All I Have To Do Is Dream.”
6:57am–“ Sleep To Dream ” Fiona Apple– Tidal –(1996)
Fiona was only 19 years old when she wrote and recorded this song, ladies and gentlemen!
Congratulations to Mary from Saginaw! She correctly guessed that “dream” was the theme of this week’s contest.

7:25am–“ Sweet Dreams ” Patsy Cline–(1963)
Patsy Cline joined Porter Wagoner, Earl Scruggs and Webb Pierce in the first ever Country Music Festival on April 22,2018.
“Sweet Dreams” was released a few months after Patsy’s tragic death.

It’s the second time I’ve featured a new Anna Burch song this year on First Day, but I can’t help it! She’s from Detroit and knows how to rock. I hope she someday gives us some credit for making her a huge star!
