After the Galaxy Note 9 was benchmarked running Snapdragon 845 a couple of months ago, a new benchmark has surfaced of the phone running Samsung’s own Exynos 9810 chipset.
It has been a few months since the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ which means that we’re moving closer and closer to the launch of Samsung’s next major flagship phone. Based on all the rumours and reports so far, there’s a good chance this will be the Galaxy Note 9. After the phone was benchmarked running Snapdragon 845 a couple of months ago, a new benchmark has surfaced of the phone running Samsung’s own Exynos 9810 chipset.
The Galaxy Note 9 with Samsung’s flagship Exynos 9810 chipset paired with 6GB of RAM has been spotted on Geekbench and this is the variant that will launch in most countries including India when the phone comes out. As per the listing, the Galaxy Note 9 scored 2737 and 9067 in single-core and multi-core, respectively. This is notably higher than the 2190 and 8860 that the upcoming flagship scored running a Snapdragon 845 chip. Of course, benchmark tests don’t really reflect real-world performance and we will only know how well the phone performs when it comes out.
Apart from this and the fact that the Galaxy Note 9 will run Android 8.1 and will be offered with 6GB of RAM, the benchmark listing doesn’t reveal anything more. What we do know based on past reports is that Samsung is also working on a new version of its artificial intelligence (AI)-powered personal digital assistant Bixby which will be seen in the upcoming Note device. Recently, the company claimed that Bixby 2.0 will offer an enhanced performance and user experience across the phone.
Additionally, the Galaxy Note 9 is tipped to sport a 6.38-inch OLED Infinity Display. The phone is also expected to house a massive 3,850mAh battery along with an improved S-Pen and a better UI. Cameras could be similar to the Galaxy S9+ which suggests a dual rear camera setup along with what the company calls Dual Aperture feature. Some reports also suggest that the company could introduce a 16MP camera sensor with a f/1.4 aperture in the upcoming smartphone. The Galaxy Note 9 is expected to come out some time in July.
