SUNY rescinds honorary degrees for Bill Cosby and James Levine

The State University Board of Trustees made the decision after Cosby was convicted of drugging and raping several women.

The State University yanked honorary degrees Thursday that were awarded years earlier to Bill Cosby and famed Metropolitan Opera conductor James Levine .
The SUNY Board of Trustees pulled the degree that Cosby got from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2000 and another given to Levine by SUNY Potsdam in 1996.
The decision came after Cosby was convicted of drugging and raping several women .
Levine was fired from the opera following allegations of sex harassment.
Levine is suing the Met for forcing him out after allegations he seduced a 15-year-old who claimed the abuse went on for decades.
