Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Note 9 on August 9.
Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Note 9 on August 9. The South Korean smartphone manufacturer, however, is yet to confirm the launch timeline. Ahead of the launch, the flagship phablet from Samsung has been subjected to several leaks and rumours. A new leak now suggests that Samsung will include a massive 4000mAh battery on the Note 9, which is the biggest found in any Note series device until date. Last year’s Galaxy Note 8 comes packed with a 3300mAh battery.
This bit of information comes from Ice universe, who has a solid track record of revealing accurate information about unreleased Samsung devices. Ice universe has confirmed the 4000mAh battery set up for the Note 9 via a tweet on Wednesday. In the tweet, he further went on to say that he is 100 per cent confident about this piece of information and said that Note 9 will definitely come with a 4000mAh battery. Another report from GalaxyClub that leaked earlier this week revealed that Samsung is also preparing to bring a faster wireless charger alongside the Note 9. Previous rumours suggested that Note 9 will come with a 3,850 mAh battery.
To recollect, Samsung had launched a convertible wireless charger with the Galaxy S9 and S9+ at MWC earlier this year. The charger comes with a model number EP-N5100 which has a 9 volts and 1.67 amperes input rating. At FCC, a couple of weeks ago, a new Samsung charger with model number EP-N6100 was spotted. The EP-N6100 charger which was seen clearing FCC with an input rating of 12 volts and 2.1 amperes. We can expect this new charger come with Galaxy Note 9 on August 9.
According to rumours, Galaxy Note 9 will come with Note 8-like design. The display for the Note 9 is said to be similar to that of the Note 8. The phablet will come with a 6.3-inch display. A report that leaked last week suggests that Galaxy Note 9 will be slightly “shorter, wider, and thicker” than the Note 8. The increased width may result in marginally bigger panel and also a much bigger battery setup.
In terms of camera settings, RAM and processor, the upcoming Note 9 will be identical to that of the Galaxy S9+, which comes with two 12-megapixel sensors on the back and an 8-megapixel sensor on the front for clicking selfies. Galaxy S9+ comes with 6GB RAM and is powered by Exynos 9810 Octa in India, while the global variant runs Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 chipset. We can expect the same for the upcoming Galaxy Note 9 as well. Additionally, the Note 9 will come with an S Pen stylus, just as the Note 8. Some rumours suggest that Note 9 will include an in-display fingerprint sensor, while other reports reveal that the phablet will have rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
