The film will be adapted for television and directed by Tom Hooper, who also directed the 2010 Academy Award-winning film “The King’s Speech.” (RELATED: Taylor Swift Is Desperately Trying To Sell Concert Tickets)
“Taylor Swift, Jennifer Hudson, James Corden and Ian McKellen are set to star in the film, to be directed by Tom Hooper and telling the story of a tribe of cats called the Jellicles and the night they make what is known as “the Jellicle choice” and decide which cat will ascend to the Heaviside Layer and come back to a new life,” The Hollywood Reporter writes.
It’s still not entirely clear how these stars will fit into the concept but the film is still in its beginning phase and details will likely emerge as filming begins. (RELATED: Taylor Swift Fires Close Friend For This Stunning Reason)
