Sean Young, the actress who played the iconic role of Harrison Ford’s “replicant” love interest in the trend-setting sci-fi film “Blade Runner,” is wanted by authorities for questioning about a burglary in New York City.
The Associated Press reports that police say that surveillance video shows Young, 58, and a man breaking into a store in Queens on Thursday and stealing laptops and video production software. According to the store, the stolen equipment is worth $12,000.
AP notes that Young has been known for “erratic behavior” in recent years, including being “arrested outside an Oscars party in 2012 after she was accused of slapping a security guard.” So far, Young’s representative has offered no response to requests for comment.
Along with her role as “Rachael” in ” Blade Runner ” (1982), Young played Chani in ” Dune ” (1984), the romantic co-star in ” No Way Out ” (1987), Kate Gekko in ” Wall Street ” (1987), and Lt. Lois Einhorn (as in ” Finkle is Einhorn! “) in ” Ace Ventura ” (1994).
The news that the ’80s star may be in legal trouble follows twin reports on two other iconic ’80s stars facing legal problems: both of the actors who played the Dukes of Hazzard’s Bo and Luke Duke.
