Cleveland Browns coach Hue Jackson recently made one of the dumbest comments in the history of football.
Browns receiver Jarvis Landry ripped into his teammates during the first episode of “Hard Knocks” on HBO, and apparently Jackson wasn’t a huge fan. (RELATED: CLEVELAND BROWNS RECEIVER GIVES FOOTBALL SPEECH OF THE YEAR, AND IT’S NOT EVEN WEEK ONE [VIDEO])

NFL Network reporter Aditi Kinkhabwala tweeted Tuesday afternoon, “Monday, #Browns head coach Hue Jackson was asked abt WR Jarvis Landry exhorting his teammates to practice and practice hard. This was part of Jackson’s response: ‘He is a new guy here, too. He is working through it. He is learning about how we go about it.’ How we go about it.”

“How we go about it.” What in the hell is Jackson talking about?
Does he mean not winning football games and being a joke of a franchise when he talks about how they do it in Cleveland? There’s nothing else that comes to mind with the Browns other than losing.
Landry’s speech was the most fire the Browns have seen in years. It might even be the most passion and fire out of a player they’ve seen in franchise history. Jackson should pray and hope for a team of guys like Jarvis Landry. It’s really that simple.
He should go to the media and talk about how it’s about damn time somebody started caring in the Browns locker room, meetings and on the field.
I’d have a simple message as the owner of a team if a coach ever made a comment like this after a passionate and much-needed speech from a player.
This is football. It’s not church. Let Landry say whatever he wants if it’s going to translate to wins.
